Journal Focus & Scope
Legal Research & Analysis publishes rigorous scholarship (research papers, review papers, case comments) that advances understanding of legal studies, law, legal institutions and legal reform. It particularly values work that connects legal analysis to its social, economic and policy contexts.
Published biannually (2023–2025); quarterly from 2026, The journal welcomes submissions on all areas of law, including but not limited to:
- Constitutional and administrative law
- Criminal law, criminology and criminal justice
- Civil, commercial and corporate law
- International law, human rights and humanitarian law
- Intellectual property and technology law
- Environmental and energy law
- Family, labor and social welfare law
- Legal systems, the judiciary and the legal profession
- Law reform and legislative analysis
The journal encourages doctrinal, theoretical, empirical, comparative and interdisciplinary work. This includes legal philosophy, law and economics, legal history, socio-legal studies, law and literature, and feminist legal theory.
