Archiving Policy

Legal Research & Analysis (Leg. Res. Anal.) is committed to the long-term preservation of, and continued access to, its published content. All published articles are digitally preserved through the following services:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): The journal participates in the PKP PN, a LOCKSS-based private network that preserves OJS journals in multiple distributed archives. If the journal ceases publication, its content will remain accessible through the network. Deposits have been initiated now.
  • Zenodo: Published articles are deposited in the journal’s Zenodo community, hosted by CERN.
  • Internet Archive: Journal content is archived in the Internet Archive.

In addition, all articles are assigned DOIs through Crossref, so that each article remains persistently identifiable and citable.

Self-Archiving (Repository Deposit) Policy

Legal Research & Analysis encourages the widest possible dissemination of published research and supports self-archiving. Authors may deposit any of the following versions of their manuscript in institutional repositories, subject repositories (e.g., SSRN, Zenodo), personal or departmental websites, or other platforms, without embargo:

  • Submitted version (preprint): at any time, including on submission.
  • Accepted version (author-accepted manuscript, after peer review): immediately upon acceptance.
  • Published version (Version of Record, publisher’s PDF): immediately upon publication.

When depositing the accepted or published version, authors should include a full citation acknowledging Legal Research & Analysis as the original place of publication, together with a link to the article’s DOI. Deposit of the published version is encouraged, as it ensures readers access the definitive text.

This policy supports green open access and helps authors comply with funder and institutional mandates. All published articles are distributed under the journal’s CC BY 4.0 licence, which permits reuse with attribution.
